This week we are joined by my good friend (and roommate) the Stay at Home Barista to make a cold brew coffee cocktail. We love coffee. We love cocktails. And, this drink is the perfect combination of both—not too sweet, but spiced, rich, and comforting.
The whiskey adds a perfect note to the drink, giving it warm, winter notes. Cold brew perfectly balances the liquor, toning it down just a bit. This is the perfect drink for coffee and whiskey lovers alike.
If you need a go to winter drink, this cold brew cocktail is for you. If you’re planning on having a few friends over for brunch or dinner, elevate your drinks! Switch out your mimosa for the coffee-lover’s dream cocktail, or elevate that post-dinner coffee to a post-dinner coffee cocktail
“Jack of all Trades” Whiskey Cold Brew
- 3 oz Lucky Jack Cold Brew (or any cold brew)
- 2 oz Honey Jack Daniels (or any whiskey)
- 1.5 oz Heavy Cream
- 1 oz Honey
- Sprinkle of ground cinnamon
- Cinnamon-sugar to rim the glass
Start by rimming your glass with honey and then dipping into the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Then, in a shaker with no ice, pour in the first cold brew, whiskey, heavy cream, and honey. Stir. It is important to not add the ice until after mixing the honey in, as the ice will make it unmixable. Add ice and shake vigorously. Shaking well will help the heavy cream whip just a bit making the drink creamy and delicious.
Strain the shaker into your rimmed martini glass (we didn’t have any on hand so we used lowball glasses. It was just as delicious). Garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy!
